Drywall

We were excited to see that the drywall has been hung today and looks ready to be mudded and taped. The pictures at this point all look pretty similiar considering that the walls are all the same grayish color. However walking through the house you notice a very different acoustical and visual feel as you can no longer see through the walls, and the insulation baffles much of the sound between the rooms. Based on the current schedule, we expect the walls to be textured and painted by the end of the week. The garage door and exterior rockwork should also be going in soon as well. Above is a picture of Brian going over his extensive interior design plans. He seems very into it, doesnt he? The other picture is of the guest bedroom which really seems to be letting a lot of natural light in. We hope to publish another update by the end of this week once the drywall is finished.

Paint and Sirens

Its been a while since we've updated the blog as we've been dealing with a lot of issues with the builder that have since been resolved. However, we are happy to report that there has been some progress made in the last few weeks.

The biggest change is the exterior paint. It's exciting to see the exterior of the house completed(with the exception of the rockwork). As we mentioned before, the color is a dusty greenish / gray color with a darker olive green contrast color. The shutters havent gone on yet, but should be installed later in the process.

Other than that there is not too much to photograph other than the large siren that is in our attic. Presumably, this is for the security system. :) All of the electrical and structured wiring has been installed, and we're hoping to see the garage door and drywall go in before the end of this week.
